People and Places

This is my roommate, Kat. She's also an MIT student and interning at Microsoft (as am I.) I took this picture last Friday at Microsoft Research Asia's Family Day/Tenth Anniversary Celebration.
We have about 300 fellow interns, most of whom seem to want to kill us, as evidenced by the second picture, also from last Friday. We played what they called "a CS game." As far as I could tell, it what what I'd heard called Laser Tag in the US, though I've never played so I don't know if it was the same.
In the third picture, you can see Kat accessing our lovely abode (it even comes with mood lighting!) The inside of the room is really nicely lit in the morning since the window faces east, so we can wake with the sun.
The fourth picture shows two more of our small community of MIT-expats in Beijing, Sarah and Erik. They live about 45 minutes from Kat and me by subway. They're interning at the UN and a consulting firm.
